Back in the day, this was as wide as skis got. Designed by Earl Miller, this is a beautiful pair of unmounted Miller Soft powder skis that would bring a retro feel to any room. Miller himself was an accomplished ski racer and prolific inventor from Utah, who taught skiing at Alta later in his life. In the early 1950s, he designed what some have called the first step-in ski binding, which was capable of releasing the foot at multiple angles as opposed to just laterally. The famous Cubco bindings were being created at the same time, though, and those were the ones that would catch on with the general skiing public.
