Apres Ski at Moon Valley Ski Area Vintage PhotographDecorate with our archival photo reproductions in your home or office. Apres ski was always a good time as you drank your milk and hot coco with friends after a fun day of riding the tow ropes and skiing the steep hills of Minnesota. Moon Valley Ski Area was west of the Flying Cloud Airport on the banks of the Minnesota River, just like many ski areas in the state are on river banks. This picture shows my mom and dad (Ken and Barb Allen far right) with their friends, warming up after skiing in the frigid MN temperatures. Notice the high prices of lift ticket s - Adults 50 cents and Children 25 cents. There were no chair lifts or T-bars here, just rope tows. See the Rope Tow gripper on the woman's belt on the far left. Each piece is printed on our state-of-the-art Epson printers, and shipped within 24 hours in a 3 inch tube to avoid compression.
