The 10th Light Division (Alpine) was originally activated in 1943. Then division was re-designated to be named the 10th Mountain Division in 1944 and fought in the mountains of Italy in some of the roughest terrain in the country. Following the war the division was deactivated, only to be reactivated and re-designated as the 10th Infantry Division in 1948. The division first acted as a training division and in 1954 was converted to a full combat division and sent to Germany before being deactivated again in 1958.
In 1985 the 10th Mtn. Div. was fully reactivated again. Today, mostly operating out of Fort Drum, NY, the 10th Mountain Division continues to serve this country in more ways than can be counted. We are profoundly grateful to be able to provide their logo patch and other items that honor them on our website.
