When Klaus Obermeyer arrived in Aspen, Colorado in 1947 to teach skiing at his friend Friedl Pfeiffer's Aspen Ski School, little did he know that he would be changing the ski industry forever. He started Sport Obermeyer in the attic of his home, with the ideal that changing people's comfort and warmth on the slopes would make skiing more enjoyable. Klaus is an icon of Aspen and the sportswear industry, and he is skill avidly skiing to this day, with his upcoming 100th birthday in December. Ski like Klaus!
