This is Bingo, who lived at the Sundeck restaurant atop Aspen Mountain in the 1950's. It's said that after he ran the kids to school, he'd visit town, get treats from many, then hang around the lift & get pet, and finally return to his home on the chair lift.
A Walt Disney movie, called
Little Skier's Big Day was made about six year old Susie Wirth and Bingo, who also lived at the Sundeck on Aspen Mt. This beautifully printed black and white photo by Dick Durrance, is a famous classic that remembers a vintage time in the history of Aspen.
Additionally, check out our other fun vintage Aspen photo of Bingo, titled
Gary Cooper & Bingo Napping at the Hotel Jerome Aspen Photo.
