Jeff Jobe, the first person to fly with skis on, and the subject of this original 1970 poster print, was actually a friend of Warren Miller's. In 1969, Miller and Jobe arranged to try to do something nobody had ever done before: ski into flight, and get it on camera. They met in Sun Valley that year, and soon Jobe was taking to the skies and being watched by hundreds of thousands of people via Miller's film. It started a revolutionary new movement in ski culture centered around ski hang gliding, which eventually evolved into the ski paragliding that's done today.
