Description   Keith and Paul Wegeman were from Steamboat Springs.   Both were on the 1952 Olympic Team and on the 1950 FIS Team.  Keith was also on the 1954 FIS Team and a four-way skier and that captured the National Intercollegiate Crown in 1951, just beating out his brother Paul.  Paul is the oldest and in 1951 he won the 4-Event Dartmouth Carnival proving his mastery of Slalom and downhill skiing.  Paul trained for the 1960's Olympics but got injured and could not compete.  Paul and Keith along with little brother Laurie (who was also a very good skier) were great musicians, which they inherited from their mom, Bess.  They put out an album titled Gentlemen Skiers in 1959.  This album includes lots of fun skiing tunes, like Winter Wonderland, Two Boards, Here’s To the Skier, Under the Take Off, Sun Valley and Ski Heil.
