Andrea Lawrence Boarding Swiss Air to 1948 Olympics Vintage Photo

Andrea Mead is seen here (on the highest step) boarding the Swiss Airlines on her way to the 1948 Olympics. She is only 15 years old. Next to her is David Lawrence, who will become her husband in 1951. He is a former United States giant slalom champion.  The other female skier is Jannette Burr , and we do not know the other male skier's name. All are leaving from the New York airport on their way to St. Moritz Switzerland. Notice the women are in their dresses.
