Description   In 1943 Brewster's Lodge looked very different from today.  Notice the Model-T Ford retro-fitted to a snow cat so as to transport skiers to the lodge.  This is the site of the present Banff Ski Area, known as Sunshine Village.  Two other neighboring Banff ski areas are Mount Norquay and Lake Louise Mountain.  The three together are Alberta Canada's finest ski areas, set in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.  Banff was established in 1885 as Canada's first National Parks.  Banff National Park has enormous tourist traffic in the summer too, with more than 1000 glaciers and beautiful nature sites at every turn. The name Banff is derived from Banffshire, Scotland, the birth place of two of the original directors of the Canadian Pacific Railway.
